Back to School Ergonomics Featured

The start of school may look a little different this year. Whether you are learning in person or online the importance of preparing a good home desk setup is crucial to avoid putting excess stress on your body.

Keep these tips in mind for planning your setup:

1. Your books and computer screen should be at eye level to avoid leaning forward and putting strain on your neck muscles.

2. Feet should be placed flat on the floor.

3. Your laptop or mouse and keyboard should be close enough that your arms can be at a comfortable 90º angle without having to reach when working.

4. Support your lower back by adding a cushion behind you to maintain a neutral curve to your spine.
