Are your shoulders feeling tight and tense? Are you experiencing headaches, neck or back pain? Are you just feeling out of sorts?
At this time of year, we may be managing more cooking, shopping, money worries, dinner preparations, parties to attend and making everything just right for our loved ones. But holiday activities can push us to the limit and lead to overexert-ING, overindulg-ING and overextend-ING! This is what Uptown Chiropractic refers to as “ING Syndrome”. This may result in symptoms such as sore and achy muscles, neck pain, back pain, and/or headaches. Or simply finding that your “Get Up and Go” has gotten up and left.
There are several potential causes of ING Syndrome related to excessive amounts of certain holiday activities, including, but not limited to:
- Shop-ING
- Decorat-ING
- Eat-ING
- Bak-ING
- Travel-ING
- Spend-ING
- Entertain- ING
- Party-ING
- Wrap-ING
- NOT Enough Sleep-ING
ING Syndrome is a repetitive motion disorder that results in discomfort felt in the body that usually originates from the muscles, nerves, bones, joints and other structures in the spine.
